Securing the Future: SeKON Awarded CDC OCIO Security Steward Services Contract
We are thrilled to announce that SeKON has been awarded the OCIO SSPO – Security Steward Services contract in support of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)’s Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). This program is dedicated to enhancing the CDC’s information security and risk management capabilities by providing expert guidance, support, and services to its information system stakeholders.
Our outstanding team of experts supporting this effort includes Justin Johnson, Chad Osborne, Llewellyn Edinborough, and Justin Pickett, all of whom bring extensive experience in information security, risk management, and program management. We are especially proud to highlight Justin Johnson, who serves as the project lead. Justin’s collaborative leadership style and genuine eagerness to support both his team and the CDC’s mission make him an invaluable part of this effort.
Under this engagement, our team supports the CDC System Security and Privacy Officers (SSPO) and CDC Program Staff with a wide range of comprehensive cybersecurity and documentation tasks. These include creating and reviewing Authorization & Assessment (A&A) packages, ensuring the timely completion of system documentation and tests, and developing Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms). Additionally, SeKON provides critical security evaluations, assists in partner reviews, completes TPWA site plans and privacy assessments, manages encrypted USB drives, and executes various security scans to enhance overall compliance and cybersecurity posture.
This achievement reflects SeKON’s commitment to delivering exceptional cybersecurity solutions and underscores the trust the CDC has placed in our capabilities. We are excited to contribute to safeguarding the CDC’s vital information systems and supporting their mission to protect public health.
